Your SL200 logger is factory calibrated to an accuracy of 0.5C (0.9F). However, calibration information may be lost if the battery is removed from the unit for an extended period of time.
To calibrate your SL200, select Calibrate… from the Logger menu. For security reasons calibration is password protected. You must enter the correct password in the Calibration Password window (shown below) before you’re allowed to calibrate the unit. The Password Calibration window also allows you to change the password. Your SL200 unit comes factory preconfigured with an empty password.
Once the password was entered correctly in the above window, the Logger Calibration window (shown below) will appear.
To perform the calibration:
1. Place the SL200 unit as close as possible to a calibration thermometer. For a more precise calibration, place SL200 unit and the calibration thermometer in a temperature chamber.
2. Read the temperature from the calibration thermometer and enter that value in the temperature box of the Logger Calibration window.
3. Click the OK button when done.
