Using the Data Filter

The data filter helps to display only relevant information in the data window. It can also decrease the number of printed pages when the data samples are printed. Data filter is disabled when there are less than 10 samples of data available.

The data filter allows you to:

1. Hide sample points for which the temperature did not change sufficiently.

2. Show only those samples that exceeded the low and/or high alarm thresholds.

To apply the data filter, select the Data Filter… option from the View menu. The filter selection dialog box is shown below.

The filter settings apply consecutively. It is very easy to find settings that will display no samples at all. For instance, selecting the temperature range between 60F and 80F and selecting to display high alarms only, will show no samples if high temperature alarms occurred above 80F. If your graph display shows data, but the data display says "No Data Samples Available", chances are you set your filter parameters too tight.
