Overview

The SL200 temperature logger is an easy to use versatile device, which can be used for a wide range of temperature logging applications. Each unit is factory calibrated to an accuracy of 0.9°F (0.5°C) over the operating range of –40°F to +185°F (-40°C to +85°C).

The SL200 is capable of sampling temperature as fast as once per minute or as slow as once every 4 hours. A total of 2048 temperature points can be stored in the SL200 memory, allowing a logging span as short as 1½ days or as long as 1 year. The logger can stop recording temperature samples when memory becomes full, or rollover for continuous recording. The start of recording is software selectable to be immediate, delayed (up to 6 weeks delay can be specified), or initiated on a user button press.

The SL200 can also be used to monitor long-term high and low temperature alarm events, that indicate if the temperature passed above and/or below a user selectable threshold. The alarm events are stored separately from the temperature sample memory and are recorded even after the 2048 sample memory becomes full. When the temperature passes the high or the low alarm threshold, the SL200 records the time of the alarm. When the temperature returns to the acceptable range, the SL200 records the duration of the alarm. Up to 12 low temperature and 12 high temperature alarm events can be recorded. The logger has a visual indication of an alarm condition without the need to connect to the computer.

The SL200 has an internal real time clock/calendar with automatic leap year compensation. This real time clock is used to record the time stamps for temperature samples and alarm events. This real time clock is independent of your computer clock, and can be set separately.

The SL200 provides a high level of data security. It is virtually impossible to falsify the sample data or alarm information of the SL200.

The SL200 is extremely low power. It is shipped with a 3V Lithium battery that lasts over 3 years of continuous operation.
